Looking at the 1.2.2 source and docs left me with no clear answer. I ask because we're trying to set up a notification mechanism for a client-side Model-View-Presenter architecture. While the View is obviously associated with a portion of the DOM, the Model and Presenter aren't. Do the jQuery events have to be bound to a DOM element?
